Your Partner in Storytelling Success

Once upon a rough draft, an author dreamed of finishing their book. That’s where I come in. With coaching and editing services at the ready, I help fiction writers shape their stories into legends.

About Me

I’m Nicole Spencer—fiction lover, eternal bookshelf curator, and ever-curious guide through the labyrinth of storytelling. A graduate of Colorado State University (2014), and now a pilot’s wife and mother to two adventurous boys and one fiercely imaginative girl, I find myself living a life full of plot twists both on and off the page.

I’ve steeped myself in frameworks of storytelling such as The Story Grid, Save the Cat, The Hero's Journey, and a constellation of other methodologies. I know how quickly the information can become a tangled thicket of dense jargon that can drain the magic from the page. My calling is to transform the craft of writing into an experience as captivating as the stories themselves—part mystery, part wonder, and always an act of discovery. After all, every tale is a hidden door, and every writer deserves the joy of stepping through.

The Thornfield Edit turned my draft into an engaging tale. I highly recommend them!

A book with the title 'Damn Good Advice (for people with talent!)' by George Lois is placed on a dark surface alongside a keyboard and an open laptop displaying the Apple logo. The overall color scheme is monochromatic, dominated by dark shades, enhancing a professional ambiance.

The coaching I received was invaluable. My manuscript improved significantly thanks to their insights and guidance.

Let's Get to Work!

In a quiet corner of the writing realm, where half-finished novels dream of becoming books, a little magic happens. Not every hero carries a sword—some carry a pen and a battered notebook full of dreams. And every great hero needs a clever sidekick. That’s where I come in, red pen in hand, ready to help bring your story safely home.
